Giordano Betti is an independent filmmaker and director of photography based in Tuscany, Italy.

His work brings to the screen what begins as vision and research, translating an idea into images built on precision and depth.

His approach is rooted in a search for a distinctive aesthetic and a deep understanding of narrative.

Every project starts with observation: reading the story first, then selecting the techniques, tools and rhythm that best serve it. This balance between concept and execution runs through everything, from a single frame to a full sequence. Light, movement and composition, each is shaped to carry meaning and serve the story being told.

He began his career as a freelance filmmaker in 2020, immersing himself in the world of classical music through a series of music videos. From there, his work expanded into documentaries, short films and commercial projects, building broad, hands-on experience throughout the filmmaking world and a versatile approach to storytelling across formats.

Along the way, projects he has taken part in have been featured on Vogue and RAI and he has collaborated with Oxford University and the Centro Cinema Paolo e Vittorio Taviani in San Miniato. He has built extensive experience as a camera assistant and assistant director, working closely with cameras, lenses and tools that improved his technical knowledge and shaped his path as a filmmaker and director of photography.

His research has since extended to film through 35mm and 16mm that deepened his understanding of texture, light and grain. Driven by curiosity, he continues to explore new techniques, always searching for the most honest way to bring a vision to the screen.
